Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (16 ounce) frozen green peas (baby peas)
  • 1 can (8 ounce) sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/2 cup almonds, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Rinse and thaw peas.

  • Step 2: Rinse and cut water chestnuts into quarters.

  • Step 3: Put both peas and chestnuts in medium size bow.l.

  • Step 4: Melt butter in small saute' pan, add almonds and saute till light brown.

  • Step 5: Remove from heat and let cool.

  • Step 6: Once cool add almonds to peas and water chestnuts; add mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar.

  • Step 7: You may want to add more sugar according to your own taste.

  • Step 8: Serve immediately or keep refrigerated till needed.
