The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 6 ounces carrots (2 carrots, peeled, grated)
  • 1 package (10 ounce) frozen chopped spinach (thawed, squeezed dry)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon minced chives
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 3/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (dry)
  • 2 large eggs

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: Combine turkey, pork, onion, garlic, carrots and spinach in large bowl.

  • Step 3: Add spices. Mix well. Add bread crumbs and eggs; mix thoroughly.

  • Step 4: Pack mixture into 9-by 5-inch loaf pan, rounding top slightly.

  • Step 5: Bake until meat reaches 150 degrees on thermometer, about 1 hour 15 minutes. Drain off fat.

  • Step 6: If not serving at once, let cool on rack.

  • Step 7: Turn meat loaf onto cutting board and cut into 8 one-inch slices.

  • Step 8: Serve hot or cold.
