Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 ounces bratwurst (2 sausages 3 ounces each, fully cooked)
  • 3/4 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 3/4 cup chopped apples (tart apples, peeled, cored)
  • 115 grams sauerkraut (3/4 cup wine cured sauerkraut, rinsed and squeezed dry)
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (or splenda)
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (Frank's hot sauce or your favorite hot sauce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 375f.

  • Step 2: Mix all the ingredients together except brats.

  • Step 3: Place brats in a lightly oiled oven proof dish.

  • Step 4: Cover with Kraut mixture.

  • Step 5: Cover with foil and place in pre-heated oven.

  • Step 6: Bake for 45 minutes.
