Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 can (15 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup crushed gingersnap cookies
  • 1/3 cup chopped yellow onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • Pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl combine egg, 1/4 cup of the tomato sauce, gingersnaps, onion, raisins and 3/4 tsp salt.

  • Step 2: Add ground beef; mix well.

  • Step 3: Shape into 6 patties.

  • Step 4: Spray medium skillet with cooking spray, brown patties over medium high heat till brown on both sides.

  • Step 5: Pour off fat.

  • Step 6: Blend remaining tomato sauce with rest of ingredients; pour over patties.

  • Step 7: Cover; simmer 20 minutes, spooning sauce over occasionally.
