Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (dark good quality cocoa)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup yogurt (plain or vanilla full fat)
  • 1/3 cup oil (vegetable oil)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350-F.

  • Step 2: Line a standard muffin tin with 12 paper baking cups.

  • Step 3: In a mixing bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix dry ingredients well with whisk.

  • Step 4: In another mixing bowl add the milk, yogurt, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well with whisk until blended.

  • Step 5: Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients along with half of the chocolate chips.

  • Step 6: Stir until dry ingredients are just moistened. Careful not to over mix.

  • Step 7: Pour batter into 12 muffin cups. Fill each almost to the top.

  • Step 8: Sprinkle the other half of the chocolate chips evenly into the filled muffin cups.

  • Step 9: Bake at 350-F for 20 to 25-minutes or until a toothpick comes out

  • Step 10: Clean when inserted into center of muffin.

  • Step 11: Cool before serving.
