Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package (10 ounce) frozen chopped spinach (thawed and well drained)
  • 1 large egg (well beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (original recipe called for 1/2 teaspoon)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs (Italian seasoned)
  • 8 ounces dry pasta
  • 24 ounces pasta sauce (jarred)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, spinach, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, bread crumbs, salt & crushed red pepper flakes.

  • Step 3: Mix all ingredients well and form into small meatballs.

  • Step 4: Place meatballs into a oven proof skillet,and bake for 40-50 minutes (depending on size of meatballs).

  • Step 5: While meatballs are cooking, prepare pasta according to package directions, drain and keep warm.

  • Step 6: When meatballs are fully cooked,drain if needed,add sauce and simmer on medium heat 6-8 minutes.

  • Step 7: Serve meatballs and sauce over cooked pasta.

  • Step 8: Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
