Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 yellow onions (chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 can (14 1/2 ounce) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomato puree (canned)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (15 1/4 ounce) red kidney beans (drained)
  • 1/4 pound sliced mushroom
  • 3/4 pound spaghetti pasta (cooked)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in pan, add onions and garlic, cook, stirring until onions are soft.

  • Step 2: Add ground beef, cook, stirring until well browned.

  • Step 3: Add crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, oregano and chili powder, bring to a boil, reduce heat simmer uncovered 20 minutes or until sauce is thick.

  • Step 4: Add beans and mushrooms, heat thoroughly: serve over hot spaghetti.
