Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F.
Step 2: Melt butter into a 9-inch square baking dish.
Step 3: In a bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, sugar and a pinch of salt.
Step 4: Stir in milk, mix only until combined.
Step 5: Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish.
Step 6: Ladle fruit with juice that has been mixed with cornstarch over the top of the batter (just dump it over) can sprinkle cinnamon over the top.
Step 7: Bake in preheated oven for 25-35 minutes,( my oven is wonky so you may need extra time or until batter rises to the top.
Step 8: Serve as is, while still warm, or top with vanilla ice cream.
