Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup A-1 steak sauce
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 2 heads of roasted garlic (see below for roasting garlic)
  • 1/4 cup white or yellow onion, very fine diced
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Roasted Garlic ... Cut a thin slice off the top of each garlic head. Add the heads of garlic to a sheet of heavy duty foil. If you don't heave heavy duty ... use 2 sheets of regular foil. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Wrap up the foil around the garlic and add the foil pouch to the oven set at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes on the middle shelf and cook until tender. Let the garlic cool and then squeeze out the garlic cloves into a small sauce pan.

  • Step 2: Sauce ... Add the wine and onion to a small sauce pan on medium heat, and simmer for 5 minutes until the wine has reduced slightly and the onion is tender. Add the garlic, steak sauce and simmer another 10 minutes on low heat. Remove from the heat and cool and refrigerate until ready to use.

  • Step 3: Grill a steak ... slather with the sauce and ENJOY!
