Step 1: Melt lard in a skillet and brown the sliced onions.
Step 2: Remove the onions and place them in a Dutch oven.
Step 3: Brown the beef in the same pan drippings.
Step 4: Add paprika, marjoram, garlic and some salt and pepper (to taste). Stir the mixture in the skillet; then pour it all into the dutch oven.
Step 5: Add the green peppers to the dutch oven.
Step 6: Add enough beef broth to the dutch oven to cover. Simmer for 60 minutes.
Step 7: Cream the flour sour cream together.
Step 8: Stir into the sauce and cook, stirring often, until the goulash is smooth and thickened.
Step 9: Add the caraway seeds and cook a little longer.
Step 10: Before serving, add more salt and pepper if needed.
Step 11: Serve over rice or noodles.
