Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 cups water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 5 tea bags
  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large saucepan over high heat bring the first 4 ingredients (water - cloves) to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Boil for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat.

  • Step 2: Add tea bags and cover let steep for 10 minutes. Discard tea bags.

  • Step 3: Stir in juices (orange and lemon).

  • Step 4: ***Can be prepared one day ahead, cover and refrigerate. Rewarm before continuing -- this can go in a crockpot.

  • Step 5: Using a slotted spoon remove whole spices.

  • Step 6: Serve hot.
