Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable oil)
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1 (1/2 pound) fennel (bulb, trimmed and thinly sliced)
  • 1 medium yellow onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 pizza crust (12-inch prepared pizza crust, Boboli)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (canned, or your own)
  • 1/2 pound cooked shrimp (20 medium, peeled and tails removed)
  • 2 cups shredded Havarti cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Sauté mushrooms, anise, onion and garlic until softened, but still crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Drain.

  • Step 3: Spread pizza crust evenly with pizza sauce.

  • Step 4: Distribute vegetables over sauce. Arrange shrimp on top of vegetables and top with Havarti.

  • Step 5: Bake 20 minutes, until golden and bubbly.

  • Step 6: Cool 5 minutes before cutting into serving pieces.
