Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 200 grams dry elbow macaroni (dry, 2 cups)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated (or use your favourite)
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk (not condensed milk)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (more or less to your taste, omit or use your favourite)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Water (for boiling macaroni)
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated (for topping)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil macaroni in water until tender and drain.

  • Step 2: Crack eggs into a bowl and beat until fluffy.

  • Step 3: Combine macaroni, eggs, cheese, milk, salt and pepper.

  • Step 4: Pour into a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees F. until firm, about 30 minutes. Let sit for about 30 minutes before serving.

  • Step 5: Note: Baking time won't change no matter what type of dish you use. You can use a loaf pan, 8 inch square dish or even a cake pan. Thickness will vary depending on which dish you bake it in. You can stick this under the broiler to brown the top if desired.

  • Step 6: Note 2: I won't recommend using a cheese like parmesan for this recipe but if you prefer mozzarella, jarlsberg or pepper jack instead of cheddar, go for it.
