Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds cauliflower (cut into small florettes)
  • 1 medium yellow onion, peeled and chopped
  • 6 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon brown mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, ground
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 14 ounces tomatoes (2 large, peeled and chopped)
  • Sugar, to taste (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in large skillet with lid and cook onion until soft.

  • Step 2: Add mustard seeds, ginger, salt and turmeric; cook for about 3 minutes, while stirring.

  • Step 3: Add cauliflower pieces to spice mixture, making sure it is coated thoroughly.

  • Step 4: Stir tomatoes into mix with cumin and parsley. Add sugar to taste.

  • Step 5: Cover and cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes; stirring occaisonally.
