The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds potatoes (baking potatoes,peeled and cubed)
  • 1/2 pound turnip (peeled and sliced)
  • 8 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup 2% milk (lowfat)
  • 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/16 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan; cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes.

  • Step 2: Drain well, and return to pan; beat at high speed of a mixer until smooth.

  • Step 3: Add milk, horseradish, salt, nutmeg, and pepper; beat well. Keep warm until ready to serve.

  • Step 4: Sprinkle with chives before serving.
