Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds apples (6 medium, peeled, cored and sliced, use a sweet apple)
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons brandy (apple brandy, Calvados is best)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup apple cider (may need more or less)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375F. Coat a 8 x 8-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Step 2: Layer apple slices in baking dish.

  • Step 3: Sprinkle with lemon juice and apple brandy. Dot with the butter.

  • Step 4: Add enough apple cider to fill the dish to a depth of 1 inch.

  • Step 5: Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 20 minutes.

  • Step 6: Serve chilled, or warm over ice cream.
