  • 2 cups granulated sugar (scant)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon butter (not margarine)
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 to 1 cup peanut butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a heavy saucepan, add sugar, salt, butter and cream; bring to a full rolling boil. When mixture comes to a rolling boil, boil for exactly 2 1/2 minutes (set your timer, no less-no more).

  • Step 2: Remove from heat, mix in vanilla and peanut butter.

  • Step 3: Pour into a small buttered pan.

  • Step 4: Cool 30 minutes, then refrigerate until very firm.
