Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup whiskey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 300 gram orange (1 large orange finely grated rind)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (fresh)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 800 grams beef sirloin steaks (4 porterhouse steaks, 200 grams)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place whisky, sugar, rind, juice, sauce, mustard and celery salt in a small pan over medium heat, stirring until mixture comes to the boil and then simmer for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.

  • Step 2: Preheat a chargrill over medium-high heat and add the steaks and cook for 3 minutes each side for medium rare or until cooked to your liking.

  • Step 3: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the sauce over the sizzling steaks to glaze.

  • Step 4: Serve with extra sauce and a green salad.
