  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 teaspoon all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
  • 65 grams cooked chicken (skinned, 1/2 cup chopped)
  • 4 slices (4 ounces) whole wheat bread (toasted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Coat a skillet with cooking spray, and add butter; place over medium-high heat until butter melts.

  • Step 2: Add mushrooms, and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until tender, stirring often. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stirring well.

  • Step 3: Add water and bouillon granules; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until mixture is thickened.

  • Step 4: Reduce heat to low; add chicken to mixture, and simmer 2 to 3 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly heated. Spoon chicken mixture evenly over toast slices.
