Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (white)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the white sugar and brown sugar into a heavy saucepan.

  • Step 2: Pour the water into the centre, then make a large X across the sugar with your fingertip to let the water seep through.

  • Step 3: NOTE ~ Do not stir.

  • Step 4: Turn up the heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. Without stirring, boil for 8 minutes.

  • Step 5: Remove caramel from heat and once cooled, beat in yoghurt and vanilla extract.
