Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped yellow onions
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 3 tablespoons dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 3 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 tablespoon pickling spice (in a cheesecloth or tea strainers)
  • 3 cup diced potatoes
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cans (15 ounces) green beans, undrained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute the following ingredients together: Butter, chopped onions, chopped carrots, diced celery and garlic. Then add: chicken stock, water, dill weed, pepper, chicken cubes. Mix all the above together well in large stock pot.

  • Step 2: Then add: diced potatoes, green beans, cook 30 minutes. Remove the teaball of herbs.

  • Step 3: Mix together flour and sour cream, and then temper into the hot liquid: sour cream and milk simmer 5 more minutes.

  • Step 4: Add last: cider vinegar to taste.
