  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups water (boiling)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix corn meal in water. Mix in salt.

  • Step 2: Slowly stir in the cornmeal into boiling water in saucepan, stirring and cooking until thick.

  • Step 3: For fried cornmeal mush, put hot cornmeal into loaf pan. Cool overnight.

  • Step 4: Remove from pan then cut into slices.

  • Step 5: Put the slices into hot greased skillet then brown on both sides.
