Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef (73/27, if you're watching your fat intake,use a leaner beef)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun Seasoning (divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper,or to taste
  • 2 1/2 to 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cumin, or to taste
  • 2 can (15.5 ounce) kidney beans (drain one can)
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce) diced tomatoes (chili ready diced tomatoes, you can use a can of regular diced tomatoes)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a 3 1/2 quart deep sided saute' pan over medium heat,(or whatever pan is large enough to hold all the ingredients)add ground beef,onion,1 teaspoon seasoning,and pepper.

  • Step 2: Cook and stir until meat is browned and seasonings are well combined.

  • Step 3: Drain,return meat mixture to pan and add flour, cook until flour taste is gone about 3 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add remaining ingredients and stir well.

  • Step 5: Turn up heat and bring to a boil,then reduce to simmer.

  • Step 6: Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes,stirring occasionally.

  • Step 7: Eat and enjoy,if desired serve over Nachos.
