Step 1: Preheat broiler.
Step 2: Arrange tomatoes in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and season with salt. Broil tomatoes until tender and beginning to burst, 4–5 minutes.
Step 3: Gently smash tomatoes with a wooden spoon.
Step 4: Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until light golden, 30–60 seconds.
Step 5: Remove from heat. Stir in parsley and 1/2 tsp. salt.
Step 6: Brush toasts with garlic butter and top with smashed tomatoes.
Step 7: Serve hot.
