Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, coarsely chopped
  • 6 slices (8 1/2 ounces) bread (thick texas toast bread, toasted lightly and cut in half diagonally)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat broiler.

  • Step 2: Arrange tomatoes in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and season with salt. Broil tomatoes until tender and beginning to burst, 4–5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Gently smash tomatoes with a wooden spoon.

  • Step 4: Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until light golden, 30–60 seconds.

  • Step 5: Remove from heat. Stir in parsley and 1/2 tsp. salt.

  • Step 6: Brush toasts with garlic butter and top with smashed tomatoes.

  • Step 7: Serve hot.
