Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Salt, 1 pinch
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter (or vegetable oil)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 10 ounces apples (2 apples, peeled, core removed and thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated (strong cheddar)
  • Vegetable oil

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat the oven to 150°C (300 °F).

  • Step 2: In a bowl, mix together the eggs, sugar, salt and milk.

  • Step 3: Add the flour and baking powder. Stir well.

  • Step 4: Add the melted butter. Set aside to rest for 20 minutes.

  • Step 5: Pass through a sieve if needed.

  • Step 6: If the mix becomes too thick, add a bit of milk.

  • Step 7: In a crepe pan, pour a bit of oil and heat over medium-high heat.

  • Step 8: Add about 45 ml (3 tbsp.) of the crepe mix.

  • Step 9: Tilt the pan to cover the whole surface.

  • Step 10: Brown both sides. Set aside.

  • Step 11: Repeat the same procedure to use all of the crepe mix.

  • Step 12: In a skillet, heat the butter and brown the apples lightly. Set aside.

  • Step 13: Spread the crepes out on a countertop.

  • Step 14: Place some of the apple and cheeseon each crepe.

  • Step 15: Roll and fold the ends inward. Place them on a baking sheet.

  • Step 16: Cook in the oven for 6 to 7 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  • Step 17: Serve the crepes with a dash of maple syrup.
