Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 bottles (12 ounce) beer
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 1/2 pounds bratwurst sausage (10 fresh bratwurst, your favorite brand)
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 30 ounces bread rolls (10 crusty sausage bread rolls, toasted)
  • Favorite condiments

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat grill for indirect cooking over medium-high heat.

  • Step 2: Mix beer, sugar and pepper in a foil pan centered on grate. Brush brats with oil and grill over coals on either side of foil pan until nicely browned, turning once.

  • Step 3: Once brats are well browned on the outside, place in the beer mixture, cover pan with foil and continue cooking for 20 to 30 minutes longer.

  • Step 4: Serve brats on toasted buns with your favorite condiments.
