  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 jumbo (500 to 550 grams) beef hot dogs

We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: To make the cheese sauce: melt the butter in a medium sized pan or skillet over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk in for a minute or two. Whisk in the mustard. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Continue to cook and whisk until the mixture starts to bubble and thicken. Stir in the cheese until melted. Taste and season with pepper and salt, if desired.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, heat outdoor grill over medium heat. Wrap one slice of ham around each hot dog and place on the grill. Grill until heated through.

  • Step 3: Place a hot dog in each bun and then top with some of the cheese sauce. Serve immediately.
