The ingredients are:
  • MEAT MIXTURE
  • 1 pound ground chicken (they had beef)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 ounces bread (2 slices)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • SAUCE
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes (if you do beef add beef)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon cold water
  • 1 egg yolk
  • SIDE
  • 2 pounds potatoes (new potatoes, boiled)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine meat mixture and shape into meatballs.

  • Step 2: Bring water to a boil in skillet. Add bouillon cubes and stir until dissolved.

  • Step 3: Gently drop meatballs into simmering bouillon. Cook 10 minutes.

  • Step 4: Remove meatballs and drain on paper towels.

  • Step 5: Add lemon juice to bouillon.

  • Step 6: Dissolve cornstarch in cold water then stir into bouillon. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.

  • Step 7: Add a small amount of hot bouillon mixture to egg yolk.

  • Step 8: Beat well and stir into bouillon.

  • Step 9: Remove from heat and pour over meatballs.

  • Step 10: Serve with potatoes.
