Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons oil (canola or vegetable oil)
  • 2 to 4 garlic cloves, finely minced (If you are a garlic lover use 4)
  • 18 ounces cooked rice (2 cups cooked white rice, chilled, or 2 cups brown rice, cooked and chilled in the fridge, leftover rice works great)
  • Salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large cast iron frying pan or Teflon coated pan, add oil and heat until nice and hot. Coat the entire bottom of the pan with the oil.

  • Step 2: Add the minced garlic and fry until it just starts to turn brown, about 15-20 seconds. Watch the garlic closely to make sure it doesn't burn.

  • Step 3: Add the chilled rice, (and any veggies you may be adding) and stir well. Cook until the rice turns a light golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste, and mix well.

  • Step 5: When ready, serve with your favorite chicken, pork or beef dish.
