Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 cups vegetable stock
  • 1 pound chicken gizzard
  • 1 yellow onion,
  • 2 carrots
  • 3 3/4 to 3 pounds potato (7 large, chopped into large chunks)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt,
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper,
  • 1 bay leaf,
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes,
  • 1 teaspoon dill
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 green onions, minced (for garnish)

How to Make

  • Step 1: To pan add gizzards bay leaf and stock and cook for 1 hour on simmer, add potatoes.

  • Step 2: Meantime, saute in oil and butter mixture, the onions and carrots that have been grated. When soft, add flour and brown then add to soup.

  • Step 3: Add herbs and season to taste, you may need to add a little water if to thick.

  • Step 4: Garnish with green onions,
