Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 300 grams tofu (silken, a block)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 3 whole shiitake mushroom (fresh or dried)
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (black, I used white)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wash and cut fresh shiitake mushroom into slices (presoak dried shiitake mushroom if using).

  • Step 2: Mash silken tofu with a folk. Add in lightly beaten egg

  • Step 3: Add soy sauce , mushroom slices, chili slices and sesame seeds. Mix to combine.

  • Step 4: Place mixture in serving dish and steam at high heat for 10mins. Sprinkle with some sesame seeds, ground black pepper (optional), before serving.
