Step 1: In a large pot sauce the bacon over medium high heat until crisp; drain on paper towels. Pour off all but 6 tablespoons of the drippings.
Step 2: Add onions and garlic; sauce until they begin to brown (10-15 minutes); stir in tomatoes and allspice; simmer for 15 minutes or until mixture thickens.
Step 3: Stir in beans, jalapeños and bacon; simmer for another 20 minutes; stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5: Stir in cilantro and transfer to serving bowl.
