Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 ounces Polish sausage (Polish will do if you cant find Portuguese, chopped)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 pounds kale (stems removed, finely chopped)
  • 1 1/2 pounds potatoes (4 potatoes, thinly sliced)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 pounds cod fish fillets (4 fillets, 8 oz each)
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup fish stock

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat olive oil; add sausage; add garlic.

  • Step 2: Add kale and cook down.

  • Step 3: In a casserole layer the thinly sliced potatoes in bottom.

  • Step 4: Make 4 beds; put cod on top of potato layer; salt and pepper to taste.

  • Step 5: Divide kale mixture 4 ways; top the cod.

  • Step 6: Juice the lemon over the cod.

  • Step 7: Pour wine and fish stock around.

  • Step 8: Cover with foil paper.

  • Step 9: Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
