  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornmeal (white)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream (heavy)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 pie crust (unbaked, 10-inch deep-dish)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a bowl, sift dry ingredients together.

  • Step 3: In a separate bowl, beat eggs with mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs to the dry ingredients and mix until incorporated.

  • Step 4: Add vanilla, cream and butter and mix until incorporated (mixture will be quick thick).

  • Step 5: Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool; serve cold with a dollop of whipped cream on each slice.
