Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 cups gluten free flour blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon xantham gum
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Additional sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar.

  • Step 2: Beat in the egg and molasses

  • Step 3: Combine in seperate bowl: flour, baking soda, xantham gum, ginger, cinnamon and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture.

  • Step 4: Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Dip one side of each ball into sugar. place sugar side up on greased baking sheet.

  • Step 5: Bake 350 10-15 minutes
