Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 9 tortillas (corn)
  • 1 pound chorizo sausage
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 16 ounces cream cheese (cut in small cubes)
  • 8 large eggs (hard boiled)
  • 1 can (16 ounce) refried beans (heated)
  • SAUCE
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3 cups tomato puree
  • 3 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Fry the onion and chili in oil. Add sausage to side, cook until soft then remove.

  • Step 2: Add spices and tomato puree and cook covered 30 minutes.

  • Step 3: Take a heated tortilla and put in 9 inch cake pan then put a sprinkling of

  • Step 4: Grated cheese ,sausage, cream cheese ,3 tablespoons sauce, 1 egg sliced in rings

  • Step 5: Repeat with each tortilla building up like a cake saving last tortilla as top

  • Step 6: Pour rest of sauce on top finish with grated cheese.

  • Step 7: Bake 350 for 45 minutes (I think i would cover at first 30 minutes and uncover and put cheese on top then.)

  • Step 8: Cut like a cake, serve with the beans.
