Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Cake:
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups white flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Crumb Topping:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy; then add eggs and mix well.

  • Step 2: Add rest of ingredients and beat till light and fluffy.

  • Step 3: Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan and spread one-half of the mixture in the bottom (see NOTE below).

  • Step 4: Add half of the topping and then rest of the batter spreading carefully; sprinkle rest of topping on top.

  • Step 5: Bake 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes; the bread pan may require a tad more time.

  • Step 6: NOTE: If you do this in a bread pan, put one-third of the batter in the bottom of the pan, then one-third of the cinnamon mixture and so on until you have three layers.
