Step 1: Melt butter in a deep saucepan.
Step 2: Add flour, salt, pepper and paprika, and stir until smooth.
Step 3: Gradually add stock, stirring constantly.
Step 4: Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Step 5: Add potatoes and stir.
Step 6: Cover and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
Step 7: Add cream and cook for 5 minutes more. Only a small amount of liquid should remain.
Step 8: Serve potatoes with remaining sauce.
