Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F.
Step 2: Trim off the stems of the tomatoes.
Step 3: Place butter, oil, salt and pepper in a shallow baking dish large enough to hold all the tomatoes.
Step 4: Brush the butter mixture over all sides of the tomatoes.
Step 5: Place tomatoes in dish, stem side down.
Step 6: Bake until skins just begin to break, about 10 minutes, basting once with accumulated juices.
Step 7: Sprinkle with basil and parsley and serve.
