Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/4 cups wheat flakes cereal
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • Salt (1 pinch)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons grated lemon zest
  • 1 1/4 cups whipping cream

How to Make

  • Step 1: To make pie crust: Crush the Wheaties, then measure.

  • Step 2: Add melted butter and 1/4 cup sugar together.

  • Step 3: Form in pie crust set aside.

  • Step 4: Separate eggs.

  • Step 5: In top of double boiler, add egg yolk, 2/3 cup sugar, salt, lemon juice and rind

  • Step 6: Cook over boiling water till thick

  • Step 7: Chill.

  • Step 8: Beat egg whites to stiff peak stage. Beat whipping cream; add to egg whites.

  • Step 9: Add lemon sauce gently.

  • Step 10: Pour into pie shell.

  • Step 11: Put in freezer.

  • Step 12: Serve out of freezer.
