  • 1 (6 ounce) bell pepper, diced
  • 4 ounces yellow onion (1/2 cup diced)
  • 1 stalk (2 ounce) celery, diced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and salt in a large bowl; let stand one hour; drain very thoroughly.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile while cabbage is setting, boil sugar, water, vinegar, celery seed, and dry mustard for a couple of minutes; cool.

  • Step 3: Pour solution over drained cabbage and carrot; add diced bell pepper, onion, and celery; toss.

  • Step 4: Put into freezer containers.

  • Step 5: Thaw in refrigerator when ready to use.
