  • 4 cups grits (cooked and kept warm)
  • 2 slices (2 ounces) bacon (cut into matchsticks)
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound fresh shrimp (peeled)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook the bacon, remove. Add shallots to bacon grease, cook.

  • Step 2: Add butter then add shrimp.

  • Step 3: Toss in bacon when shrimp is just barely pink.

  • Step 4: Cover on top of grits you have kept warm.
