Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 (3 pound) whole chicken (cut up)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoons yellow onion, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

How to Make

  • Step 1: Coat the chicken in the mixture of flour, salt and paprika.

  • Step 2: Melt butter in baking dish. Add chicken pieces, turning to coat.

  • Step 3: Arrange skin side down in a 9 x 13 inch pan.

  • Step 4: Bake at 375 degree oven for 30 minutes.

  • Step 5: While chicken bakes prepare the lemon basting sauce by mixing together the remainder of the ingredients.

  • Step 6: Turn chicken and spoon the lemon basting sauce over the chicken and bake for another 30 minutes or until done.
