Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 quart water (boiling)
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 1.1 ounce dried cranberries (1/4 cup)
  • 1.3 ounces blueberries (1/4 cup)
  • 2 1/2 ounces sunflower seeds (1/2 cup, crushed)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine all ingredients except the water and syrup.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl and mix thoroughly.

  • Step 3: After mixing, slowly add a cup at a time, the boiled water. Syrup in 1st cup.

  • Step 4: When the mix is thick enough to be sticky, shape round patties (about 3 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick) have water at a rolling boil and drop in 1 or 2 patties, carefully making sure they do not stick to the bottom.

  • Step 5: Remove breads when they begin to float.
