Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds potatoes (4 large white potatoes peeled, chopped and cooked)
  • 3/4 to 1 pound sweet potato (2 large sweet potatoes, peeled, chopped and cooked)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (chive & onion cream cheese, divided, I used plain)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (divided)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2: Place white and sweet potatoes in separate bowls.

  • Step 3: Add half each of the cream cheese and sour cream to the potatoes in each bowl; season with salt and pepper..Mash with potato masher.

  • Step 4: Stir half of the parmesan into the bowl of white potato mix.

  • Step 5: Mix half of the cheddar cheese into the bowl of sweet potatoes.

  • Step 6: Alternately layer half each of the white potato mixture and sweet potato mixture in a 2 qt clear glass casserole dish.

  • Step 7: Repeat layers.

  • Step 8: Bake 25 minutes.

  • Step 9: Sprinkle with remaining cheeses and continue baking 5 minutes or until cheeses are melted.
