Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3/4 pound halibut fish (bones & skin removed)
  • 3/4 pound cod fish (bones & skin removed)
  • 2/3 cup panko crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 3 tablespoons sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 6 to to 9 ounces burger buns (4-6 buns)
  • 1/2 cup tartar sauce

How to Make

  • Step 1: Chop the fish into small pieces and then pulse in a food processor until coarsely minced

  • Step 2: Do not over process

  • Step 3: Mix all the ingredients, except buns, together

  • Step 4: Form into patties 1/2" thick

  • Step 5: Fry in lightly oiled skillet for about 3 minutes each side or until cooked through

  • Step 6: Place a burger on each bun top with tartar sauce and your favorite condiments.
