Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (extra virgin)
  • 2 garlic cloves (peeled crushed)
  • Parsley (large handful of fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves finely chopped)
  • 500 grams French baguette bread (1 baguette)
  • Kosher salt
  • Parmesan cheese, finely grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 450F.

  • Step 2: Heat butter and oil in a small saucepan over medium heat and add the garlic and parsley and cook stirring occasionally, until butter is completely melted.

  • Step 3: Slice bread in half lengthwise, then place on a baking sheet and brush cut sides with butter mixture.

  • Step 4: Slice crosswise into 1" thick, without cutting all the way through, season with salt and top with parmesan.

  • Step 5: Bake until golden, about 10 to 15 minutes.
