Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds spinach (cooked)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large (12 ounce) yellow onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 pint sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: Remove excess water from spinach and chop.

  • Step 3: Heat oil in large pan.

  • Step 4: Add onion and cook until soft, stirring often.

  • Step 5: Add ground beef and cook until well browned, stirring often.

  • Step 6: Add mushrooms,cook for approximately 5 minutes, stirring often.

  • Step 7: Remove from heat, drain all fat from pan.

  • Step 8: Add spinach, sour cream, oregano, thyme, and half of each cheese. Stirring well after each addition.

  • Step 9: Add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Step 10: Pour into casserole dish and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

  • Step 11: Bake for 25 minutes.
