Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate (two 1-ounce squares)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg (well beaten)
  • 1/4 cup yogurt (vanilla)
  • CREAM CHEESE LAYER
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a medium size bowl combine flour,sugar,salt,and baking soda.

  • Step 3: In a medium size saucepan over medium heat melt unsweetened chocolate,margarine, and water.

  • Step 4: Remove heat and let cool for 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add egg,vanilla,and yogurt then mix well.

  • Step 6: Then add flour,a small amount at a time and stir with a spoon until well blended.

  • Step 7: Pour into a greased and floured 8 x 8 inch pan.

  • Step 8: With mixer,mix cream cheese,sugar,and egg until well blended.

  • Step 9: Pour cream cheese mixture on top of brownie batter then with a knife,swirl until you get a marble effect.

  • Step 10: Sprinkle top with chocolate chips.(add more chips if you like)

  • Step 11: Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

  • Step 12: Cool for at least 2 hours,cut into 12 squares.
