  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (fine ground)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 ounces edam cheese (sliced)
  • 4 tablespoons oil

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix together the dry ingredients.

  • Step 2: In another bowl, lightly beat the egg and cream together.

  • Step 3: Dip the slices of cheese into the wet mixture, then pat them into the dry mixture making sure to get the bread crumbs on both sides.

  • Step 4: In a large non-stick pan, heat oil until shimmering. Add the cheese and cook over high heat for 1-2 minutes until breading is golden, turn cheese (carefully) and cook for another minute.

  • Step 5: Remove from heat and serve warm.
